About Me

Hi, I’m Astrid—writer, poet, professional over-thinker, and enthusiastic collector of strange little moments. I built The Forgotten Crypt as a home for all the poems that didn’t quite fit in polite society. The misfits. The soft ones. The ones that bite.

I started writing poetry because my thoughts refused to sit still, and turning them into strange, beautiful stanzas seemed like the kindest thing I could do for them (and myself). Words became my way of time-traveling through memories, bottling emotions, and casting tiny spells. Somewhere along the way, poetry became less of a hobby and more of a lifeline. My poems are often a little weird, a little wistful, and stitched together with emotion and metaphor like mismatched buttons on an old coat.

  • I keep a "word graveyard" of lines that didn’t make the cut—but I swear they’ll rise again one day.

  • I have more unread books than shelf space, and I regret nothing.

  • I think poems are just feelings in disguise, wearing little metaphor costumes.

  • My dream writing spot is a candlelit nook in a crumbling library with velvet chairs and a ghost cat.

  • I’m secretly (not so secretly) obsessed with old keys, forgotten letters, and abandoned places.

This crypt is where I keep it all: the poems I’ve set free into the world, and the ones still sharpening their teeth in the dark. If you’re into heartfelt oddities and lyrical mischief, you’ll fit right in.So welcome, truly. You’ve found the secret door. Whether you're here to read, feel, or just lurk in the shadows—I'm glad you're here.
